Pärnu Day tomorrow

The city of Pärnu is gearing up for tomorrow’s annual Pärnu Day celebrations. The day will offer a wide programme of events for all ages and interests including live music, guided tours, food, bike rides and more.

One of the highlights of the programme will be the pre-Pärnu Day concert “Ronkmust” at 7 pm in Pärnu Concert Hall on April 5, featuring performances by the Pärnu City Orchestra alongside local soloists and bands. The concert will present a repertoire of songs by composers from the city throughout history. Renowned conductor Riivo Jõgi will lead the ensemble, with featured soloists including Marta Lotta Kukk, Laura Junson, Eve Pärnsalu, Chris Sommer, Vello Toomemets, and Hardi Volmer, along with the band Sibyl Vane.

Following the concert, the festivities will continue with an after-party at Wunderbaar at 9 pm, featuring a performance by Hardi Volmer and Singer Vinger, followed by DJ Urmas Lass spinning tunes dedicated to Pärnu’s music scene.

Pärnu Day on April 6 will offer a diverse array of activities for all ages and interests. History enthusiasts can attend lectures at various locations, exploring topics such as daily life in medieval Pärnu.

For those interested in exploring Pärnu’s picturesque surroundings, a photographic walk led by Marten-Jaan Martšenkov will offer insights into creative photography techniques while discovering the city’s hidden gems.

Foodies can indulge in a Grillfest at Martens Square, featuring delicious free tastings and entertainment, while nature lovers can join a bike ride along the scenic routes of Pärnu.

For art enthusiasts, exhibitions at the New Art Museum and Pärnu City Gallery will showcase the talent and creativity of local and international.

From guided tours through historical streets to hands-on workshops for children at Pernova Nature House, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during Pärnu Day.
