Tickets now on sale for Finnair’s new Tartu-Helsinki route

Finnair has begun selling tickets for its upcoming regular route between Helsinki and Tartu. Starting on March 31, there will be a total of 12 flights per week.

Starting last September, the city of Tartu opened a public tender looking for an airline to operate a regular route between Tartu and Helsinki, which had ceased operating during the pandemic.

The airline Finnair was the online company to apply for the tender. Although it was originally hoped that the service could begin already in January to coincide with the beginning of Tartu’s year as the European Capital of Culture 2024, this was delayed as a result of state and EU compensation checks

However, it was confirmed in December that flights would begin on March 31. In total, there will be 12 flights per week, two in each direct per day, except Saturdays. With flights leaving Tartu airport at 6 am and 3 pm, and Helsinki at 1.50 pm and 23.55 pm.

You can view the full flight schedule and now buy tickets on Finnair’s website
