The sound of the Alps comes to Estonia

Estonian Sinfonietta are set to perform a year-end concert entitled “Apline Voices” on December 28 in Tallinn, and on December 29 in Viljandi. At the concert, pieces that embrace the spirit of the season from Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Anton Zimmermann, and Arvo Pärt will be played by the orchestra. A highlight of the evening will be an innovative collaboration featuring renowned alpine horn player Carlo Torlontano.

Torlontano has crafted a unique rendition of Arvo Pärt’s “Pari intervallo” for alpine horn and strings, which has gained the composer’s approval. Premiered this summer in Italy, this extraordinary fusion piece promises to captivate the audience and provide reflection on the past year.

Led by concertmaster Anna-Liisa Bezrodny, Estonian Sinfonietta will perform a number of other pieces from the likes of Anton Zimmermann, as well as both Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

Tickets for the concert on Thursday, December 28 in Tallinn, and Friday, December 29 in Viljandi, are available on Piletilevi
