The three-day festival of traditional dance “Sabatants” will take place in Tallinn from April 27-29

“Sabatants” is a traditional dance festival where you can dance polka or waltz to live music. The three-day dance festival will be held at Toompea 3 in Tallinn from April 27 to 29

Old but still popular dances from Estonia and other parts of the world will be danced at the festival. You can also get to know new dances under the guidance of foreign guests.

“Sabatants” values tradition and the joy of dancing. The program is structured in such a way that it offers different forms of learning: seminars and workshops, as well as evening dance clubs where you can practice what you have learned, apply previously acquired skills, or take your very first dance steps.

The event is suitable for everyone, regardless of your previous dance experience. The dance hall is going to be full of helpful people who will help newcomers to discover the joy of dancing. At the same time, the festival offers something new even for more experienced dancers.

You can come to dance alone, with a dance partner, with a friend, or with a larger group.

Dance clubs operate in the evening

The main events of the festival are the dance club-style evenings, where you can dance new as well as old and familiar dances all night long. The Saturday dance club will last until six in the morning.

The event features several musicians who traditionally play alone and can thus focus on the dancer and the dance. Duos, trios and larger ensembles will also perform at the festival.

The performers are all carefully selected musicians. They have shown the ability to play for dancing and take the dancers into account in their playing. The festival also offers musicians of the younger generation the opportunity to play dance songs to the festival audience.

The price of a three-day festival pass is 35 euros. The price of a one-night dance club ticket is 15 euros. Children are also welcome at the festival.
