Additional trips added to Saaremaa ferry route over busy Midsummer period

The Transport Administration has announced that additional ferry trips have been added to the Virtsu– Kuivastu route linking the mainland with the islands of Saaremaa and Muhu over the busy Midsummer period.

In order to service extra demand over busy the Midsummer period, two additional ferries on the Virtsu– Kuivastu route have been added to today’s schedule at 11.25 pm and 11.59 pm. Enabling more people to get to the islands of Muhu and Saaremaa. In addition, two ferries will be added on Sunday, June 26, departing from Kuivastu at 8:30 am and midnight.

“To ensure smooth traffic to and from the islands, the situation will be constantly monitored and trips added as necessary. No one will be left on the pier. Those looking to cross without a booking should keep an eye on the TS Laevad website www.praamid.ee that is updated regularly.”

As such, further ferry departures may be added to both the Virtsu– Kuivastu route as well as the Rohuküla-Heltermaa route to Hiiumaa, depending on demand.
