“I tried to be funny, but you weren’t looking.” Ali Brice brings his Edinburgh Fringe Festival show to Estonia

UK-based comedian and actor Ali Brice, who is known for his alternative comedy and charismatic performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will perform his latest stand-up comedy show “I tried to be funny, but you weren’t looking” in Tartu and Tallinn this week.

In a unique collaboration between Peaasi.ee, Kinoteater, and European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024, UK-based comedian and actor Ali Brice will perform two stand-up shows in Estonia this week. In Tartu this Wednesday, December 13, and in Tallinn the following day.

Brice, who has graced international stages as an actor and appeared in notable TV commercials, will bring visitors a heartfelt and humorous show titled “I tried to be funny, but you weren’t looking”. The show obtained rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022, somewhere he has performed every year since 2014. The performance, which delves into Brice’s experiences overcoming life’s challenges, embracing the present, and finding joy in the small things, is served with a generous helping of laughter.

The show, which is suitable for ages 12 and up, is part of the “Stand Up For Your Mind” project, a highlight of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024’s main program, which is being made in collaboration with the British Council in Estonia.

Tickets for both shows are available at Piletilevi, and you can find out more about Ali Brice on his website
