Farm Days—A Fun Family Event

If you’re tired of the endless music festivals in Estonia and want something more unique, and even educational, then Farm Days is the event for you. Hosted in Jäneda, just under an hour’s drive from Tallinn, this event does have music in the evenings, but the main theme is obviously agricultural.

There will be an impressive selection of farm equipment on display, which children and adults will no doubt find exciting to see up close. There will also be hundreds of vendors selling high-quality wares, from furniture and art, to clothing and foods. Several vendors also sell plants and trees that you can take home and put straight into the soil in your own garden.

Throughout the day there will also be several musical acts. Yes, I did say that this festival would offer you a break from music, but no one really needs that, right? Several activities are directed towards the younger crowds as well. The evening of the first night will also see Curly Strings take the stage for a full concert. They’ve performed at almost every other festival in Estonia this summer, so why not this one as well? Hint: there is a reason they are so popular!

Jäneda was also the venue for the recent KiKuMu Festival, and it’s truly a lovely place, just outside of Aegviidu. There are several guesthouses in the area, which is dotted with lakes and beaches, so it would be worth your while to book a room somewhere. More information about Farm Days is available here.
