You can embrace the festive spirit at the 7th annual Võru Winter Festival this weekend, December 8 and 9. The festival brings together the enchanting Võru Christmas Fair and the lively Winter Dance Day.
Hosted in the heart of Võru central square, the Christmas Fair promises a wide array of local made handicrafts, edible treats, and festive goodies. There will also be live performances in the square. The Christmas Fair will be open from 5 pm to 10 pm on December 8 and from 10 am to 3 pm on December 9.
Saturday, December 9, marks Winter Dance Day in the city. As well as performances in the central square, including a big dance that everyone can take part in, there will also be dance workshops. The main performance of the day, however, from Tartu University Folk Dance Ensemble, will take place at Võru Kannel.
