Finnair to reopen the flight connection between Helsinki and Tartu in March 2022

Finnair will reopen its flight connection between Helsinki and Tartu on March 28 next year. There will be 5 flights per week.
Flights will depart from Tartu on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Enabling passengers to connect to Finnair’s late-night flights from Helsinki to the rest of Finland, Scandinavia, Europe and Asia. The remaining flights will depart from Tartu during the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Helsinki-Tartu flight was terminated in the spring of 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“Now, despite difficult circumstances, Finnair has offered a flexible solution that covers the needs of both corporate customers and tourists,” said Urmas Klaas, Mayor of Tartu.
Finnair’s 70-seat ATR-72 aircraft will start flying on the route.
Before the pandemic, Finnair operated the Helsinki – Tartu route seven times a week. The route had about 30,000 passengers a year.
Tartu Airport is located nine kilometres southwest of the city center.
