18 August–18 September Tallinn Fringe Festival, Tallinn

The last full week of the tenth annual comedy and entertainment festival in Tallinn offers lots of events for visitors and locals alike. Come check out the Tallinn Fringe Festival!

 

4–13 September Saaremaa Food Festival, Saaremaa and Muhu

Plenty of events throughout these two Estonian islands showcasing local foods and produce, as well as cafés, home cafés, entertainment, and much more.

 

11 September–14 October Autumn Jazz Festival, throughout Estonia

As part of the world-renowned Jazzkaar Festival, Autumn Jazz will feature local and international artists in a series of concerts around Estonia.

 

11–13 September Vintage Weekend, Haapsalu

A vintage car festival in the seaside town of Haapsalu featuring cars and other vehicles that are at least 35 years old. There will also be a parade and a much wider programme.

 

11–13 September Swedbank Tallinn Marathon 2026, Tallinn

Three full days of road races, from fun runs, a costume run, to a full-length marathon right through the city. A fun event for the whole family!

 

12 September Maarjalaat, or Mary’s Fair, Tartu

One of the main events of the year in Tartu, this traditional autumn fair stretches across the Old Town with markets, food, drink, entertainment, and a generally wonderful atmosphere.

 

12 September Onion Route Buffet Day, Lake Peipus

Home cafés will open up all along the Onion Route, which runs the length of Lake Peipus. Delicious local foods and beverages will be available to the public.

 

12 September Rõuge Community Festival, Rõuge

A fun festival with great food, a flea market, plants, entertainment, and more. The perfect opportunity to explore Rõuge, officially Estonia’s prettiest village, with six lakes inside the border, and the gorgeous Ööbikuorg Park.

 

12 September Visit Villages, Saaremaa and Muhu

As part of the Saaremaa Food Festival programme, several villages on these two beautiful islands are inviting guests for lots of fun, food, and entertainment.

 

13 September Pikk Street Festival, Tallinn

Pikk Street, which means “long street”, is the longest street in the Old Town, and will have its very own festival with a very long picnic table featuring local restaurants, bars, cafés. There will also be a fun entertainment programme.
