One of the fastest-growing sports in recent years in terms of popularity, disc golf has taken Estonia and indeed Europe by storm. It should make sense then that the largest disc golf festival in Europe would take place in Estonia once again, and at Tallinn’s Song Festival Grounds. From 15 to 21 June, disc golf tournaments and competitions will take place, with lots more entertainment in store for audiences, including concerts, food, and tons of fun.
The only European PDGA Major takes place at the European Disc Golf Festival 2026, and it’s called the European Open. In fact, it’s one of only four such events in the entire world! The Major itself will take place from 18–21 June, with qualifiers happening on Monday, 15 June, and more importantly for spectators, the first ever Presidents Cup on 16 June. Team Europe, led by Captain Kristin Lätt, will battle it out against Team USA.
Each year the course changes. Naturally it’s an 18-hole course, but according to the organisers, there are “tight fairways, low ceilings, and tricky island greens” that will challenge even the best disc golf players in the world. The topography of the Song Festival Grounds allows spectators to witness the action from several different locations, both close up and from afar. The size of the venue will also accommodate thousands of visitors.
Between the excitement at the Presidents Cup, the rap duo Clicherik & Mäx will keep the energy high for the audience. They’re not the only musical act, however. In the evening of 19 June, right in the middle of the European Open itself, Estonia’s popular band Traffic will perform. The following night, the last night of the overall event, will see a concert by the one and only Daniel Levi.
The Song Festival Grounds are located within walking distance of the Old Town and the passenger terminals for arrivals via ferry. There will be ample delicious food for all in the food court area, as well as all other necessary amenities.
