Sepultura to Perform at Tallinn Rock Festival

The recent surprise announcement that Sepultura, one of the most influential names in heavy metal music for nearly 40 years, will play in Tallinn has taken Baltic fans by storm. On 2 August, the final night of the Tallinn Rock Festival for 2026, the Brazilian musical heavyweights will take to the stage in Tallinn’s outdoor Unibet Arena venue.

Formed in 1984, Sepultura has long been regarded as one of the pioneers of thrash and groove metal. Over the decades, the band has built a global following with albums such as “Roots”, “Chaos A.D.”, and “Arise”, blending aggressive metal with elements of Brazilian rhythms and political themes. Their live performances are known for their intensity, precision, and powerful connection with audiences.

Sepultura joining the lineup at the Tallinn Rock Festival cements the festival’s reputation as a hard-hitting and very international festival. The first night of the festival on 31 July will see the Scorpions celebrating their 60th anniversary, followed the next night by Godsmack. As the Scorpions are from Germany, Godsmack are from the United States, and Sepultura are from Brazil, you could say the festival headliners are some of the best North American, South American, and European bands.

Sepultura’s upcoming performance also forms part of the band’s broader touring activity, which in recent years has focused on celebrating their long career, and musical legacy. Their setlist typically spans classic material and newer releases alike, offering audiences a comprehensive overview of their evolution as a band.

For Estonian audiences, this concert represents a rare opportunity to experience one of metal’s most enduring acts, live in a festival setting. With its combination of high-profile international performers and a growing reputation, Tallinn Rock Festival 2026 is expected to draw significant attention from music fans across the region.
