17 February Fire Horse and Shrovetide Festival, Alutaguse

At the Alutaguse Sports Centre in Eastern Estonia there will be a competition for the longest sled ride, pea soup and Shrovetide buns will be served, visitors can enjoy pony rides, and admire a fire show celebrating the Chinese Year of the Fire Horse.

 

17 February Georgian National Ballet, Tallinn

A colourful music and dance show where folk dances are combined with Bollywood-style spectacle, Ukrainian hopak and Irish riverdance step techniques, acrobatics and even sword-fighting skills.

 

17 February Shrovetide skating, Tartu

At the skating rink on the Town Hall Square a DJ will play music and encourage people to compete for the longest forward and backward glide, as well as the fastest skating lap around the Kissing Students statue.

 

20 February Burlesque Night Glamour, Tallinn

Immerse yourself in an atmosphere full of romance and seduction. A prize is also awarded to the most stylish audience member wearing an evening gown adorned with feathers and satin gloves.

 

20–21 February Fratres and Other Estonian Works, Tartu, Tallinn

Two concerts, two string orchestras on stage, and works by seven Estonian composers — an artistic dialogue between youth and seasoned masters.

 

20–21 February Kiviõli KUMA Winter Festival, Kiviõli

Snowboarding to DJ beats, MTB cross-cycling and trick competitions, a laser light show, carnival costumes, a children’s activity day, après-ski live music and much more at Northern Estonia’s largest ski centre during this two-day winter celebration.

 

21 February Ahvenapidu 2026 Perch Fishing Competition, Pärnu

The prize competition targets perch over 21 cm. Onshore activities include a programme, ice carousel, market stalls, food trucks, and a bar. Registration link and rules are on the event’s Facebook page. Remember to buy a 24-hour fishing permit online.

 

21 February Paradise Lost’s Metal Sounds, Tallinn

The British pioneers of gothic metal perform at Club Helitehas, inspired by their latest album Ascension. Supporting acts are Denmark’s Saturnus and Italy’s Shores of Null.

 

22 February Tropical Night at V Spa, Tartu

Tropical lighting and atmosphere, music, a welcome drink, and small surprises make this adults-only spa night, which runs until midnight, a special experience alongside sauna rituals.

 

22 February Winter Festival Closing Concert, Tallinn

At the gala concert, maestro Simone Maria Marziali’s international masterclass singers perform arias from Puccini’s “Turandot” and other operas.
