A Taste Adventure in Eastern Estonia Offers Local Flavours

The popular Flavour Adventure of Eastern Estonia began yesterday, on 5 November. The event is being held for the seventh time. For two weeks, the region’s restaurants and tourist destinations offer special menus and unique experiences that highlight the local way of life and food culture. Seven restaurants are taking part. On the same trip, you can also explore the region’s many attractions, such as museums, nature trails, and spas.
This year, the dishes of the Flavour Adventure are inspired by the region’s stories and cultural heritage. For example, Kene Rannaresto serves fish caught from Lake Peipus, forest delicacies, and a true speciality: chanterelle ice cream with raspberry mayonnaise! Toila Mereresto, on the other hand, takes visitors into the atmosphere of a traditional fishing village, offering fish solyanka and fried Baltic herring with aioli sauce.
This year, taking part in the Flavour Adventure has been made easier than before. The special menus of the participating restaurants can be found in Estonian here. Additional events are listed here.
