Narva Is Estonia’s Autumn Capital

This year, Narva holds the title of Estonia’s autumn capital. For three months, the city will be filled with culture and interesting events. For example, the autumn capital’s music programme covers a wide range of genres.

The international iDeeJazz Festival’s opening concert was held on 29 October in Tartu, but on Saturday, 1 November, top concerts can also be enjoyed in Narva, when Singülar, from Luxembourg, Germany, France, will perform at the University of Tartu Narva College at 18:00. Later that same evening, the Jeremy Pelt Quintet from the US will take the stage at 19:30. You can read more about the festival here.

That same evening, chamber works by the world-renowned Arvo Pärt will be performed at Narva Town Hall in honour of his 90th birthday. Tickets for the concert can be purchased here.

Sports enthusiasts will also have something to enjoy in Narva. The Vaba Lava Theatre Centre will host an international boxing tournament on 8 November. You can find information about the tournament here.

Other autumn events include the EK Dance Fest dance festival, colourful concerts at the Children’s Creative Activity Centre and the Rugodiv Cultural Centre, performances by Narva Music School, meetings with actors from the Südalinna Theatre, the opening of the Christmas market, and much more.
