Dropkick Murphys to Perform in Tallinn

When the term “Celtic punk” is mentioned, people immediately think of three bands: The Pogues, Flogging Molly, and the Dropkick Murphys. This last band is set to perform this week in Tallinn, at Noblessner’s Valukoda, for an unforgettable—and loud—concert. Known for their “working-class anthems”, the Dropkick Murphys have had an undeniable following for over two decades.
Formed in the greater Boston area in 1996, the band released five albums for Hellcat Records, and earned their reputation mostly from diligent touring throughout the New England area. This probably explains why their concerts are so loud, and raucous. Definitely one of the more energetic concerts you could attend this year, or next. The band’s 2011 album, and seventh overall release, debuted at number six on the Billboard charts.
During their career, the Dropkick Murphys have released 13 studio albums, including 2025’s new release, “For the People”. They are a rather prolific band, having released four of their 13 albums in this decade alone. Fans will definitely know the songs “Tessie”, “Kiss Me I’m #!@’faced”, “The Fighting 69th”, “I’m Shipping Up to Boston”, and many, many more.
The Dropkick Murphys aren’t afraid to get involved in politics, either. Decidedly pro-union, and anti-fascist—two stances that are risky to have in today’s political climate in their home country—they famously left the Twitter platform, which is now called X, because of the current owner’s political views and actions.
Tickets to the 24 October concert are available here. Doors open at 19:00, and two warm-up bands—Haywire, and Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls—will perform as support acts. Once again, this will be a loud concert. It is advised to wear ear protection, especially for any younger audience members.
