Kristjan Järvi and Nordic Pulse

For Eesti Kontsert’s season opening, Kristjan Järvi and Nordic Pulse will give a series of concerts featuring a guest soloist and guest guitarist. The title of the concert series is “Elements”, and will include works by various composers with modern arrangements.

Kristjan Järvi will guide the audience through an astounding audio and visual tour of the four basic elements of nature—earth, water, wind, and fire. The musical adaptations will include works by Arvo Pärt of Estonia, Britain’s own Max Richter, and Edvard Grieg of Norway.

Estonia’s Triin Ruubel will be featured as a soloist, and Mick Pedaja, also from Estonia, will be a vocalist and will be featured on the guitar. Nordic Pulse is a 25-member band that has achieved international acclaim. Their music styles have a broad range, from classical, to electronic music.

“Elements” will fuse technology with music and nature, adding a modern take to classical favourites loved around the world.

The first concert will be in the Estonia Concert Hall on 18 September in Tallinn. The second will be in the Vanemuise Concert Hall on 19 September in Tartu, and the final concert of this series will be in the famed Jõhvi Concert Hall on 20 September.

Tickets are available here.
