12–18 May 777th Anniversary of the City of Tallinn, Tallinn

Tallinn celebrates its long history in a spectacular way for a week, with concerts, street events, historical tours, and activities for the whole family.

 

13 May–3 Jun Dance Performance in St Nicholas Church and Museum, Tallinn

The dance piece “Dances of Life for Eternity” is inspired by the “Dance of Death” on the wall of the Antonius Chapel in the St Nicholas Church and Museum. It is the most famous medieval work in Estonia. The dance performance reflects on time and space, and the course of life. The dance is rhythmically accompanied by drums.

 

15–18 May. Karlova Days, Tartu

Tartu’s Karlova district will be filled with exhibitions, music, guided tours, lectures, literary evenings, and outdoor cafés. Four culture-filled days await you in Tartu!

 

16 May Bright & Black Concert, Tallinn

Metal and classical music intertwine and create a new kind of soundscape at the Bright & Black concert. The Nordic Pulse Symphony Orchestra, conducted by conductor Kristjan Järvi, and Apocalyptica cellist Eicca Toppinen will take to the stage.

 

16–17 May Naked Truth Sauna and Discussion Event, Tartu

This event, held on the banks of the Emajõgi River, will feature discussions on the day’s themes on sauna benches. Participants will have the opportunity to share their thoughts on society and being human in a warm and relaxed environment. 

 

16–17 May Concert of the Men’s Choir and Big Band of the Tallinn University of Technology, Viimsi and Viljandi

The Tallinn University of Technology’s men’s choir and big band will perform at spring concerts in Viimsi and Viljandi. The choir promises to break the laws of physics and open a time portal to the choir’s future! So the listener will be surprised by what the programme contains.

 

16–18 May Türi Flower Fair, Türi

Estonia’s largest gardening event attracts those interested in plants and gardening to the city of Türi. The event offers flowers, seedlings, garden products, and expert advice. The market also features food, crafts, and activities for the whole family.

 

17 May Maijooks Women’s Run, Tallinn

Maijooks (May Run) is Estonia’s largest women’s sports event, bringing together thousands of participants in Tallinn. It promises physical togetherness, music, and a good atmosphere. The Maijooks event has a programme for all ages. 

 

17 May International Museum Night, Estonia

Museums across Estonia stay open late into the night and offer special programmes for free. Visitors can take part in guided tours and workshops. International Museum Night is an event that attracts people of all ages to museums.

 

17–18 May Kalamaja Days, Tallinn

A community city festival is being held in Tallinn’s Kalamaja District, where cafés and booths are opened in the courtyards. The streets are filled with people, different experiences, and good music. The event showcases the area and its people.
