28 April Concert Evening of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Tallinn

Every Monday in Tallinn’s Church of the Holy Spirit (Püha Vaimu kirik) features an evening of free music. Each concert is unique, and features music that will be sure to bring peace to your soul, featuring a classic as well as modern repertoire.

 

28 Apr–3 May Student Days, Tartu

Packed full of exciting competitions, concerts and other activities, the festive air of Student Days brings an unmistakable energy to Tartu each year. You don’t need to be a student to fully enjoy this celebration of youth.

 

28 Apr–24 Jun “Negotiations” glass and graphic art exhibition, Pärnu

This art exhibition features several works by various artists exploring what happens when glass art and graphic art meet. The result is entirely unexpected, and you can view for yourself the original works that result.

 

28 April–continuing Estonian Book 500: Relics, Tallinn

This new exhibition at Tallinn’s St Nicholas Church and Museum features Estonia’s oldest books. Celebrating 500 years since the first book in Estonia, several manuscripts and relics dating back to the Middle Ages will be on display.

 

28 April–continuing How Do You Know? archival exhibit, Tartu

The new exhibit of the National Archives in Tartu features over a hundred artefacts from throughout the centuries, such as original drafts of the Estonian coat of arms, the histories of Estonian family names, and visitors can find out the origins of many famous traits of Estonians themselves.

 

30 April Volbriöö (Walpurgis Night), throughout Estonia

Walpurgis Night is one of the biggest events of the year in Estonia, welcoming the coming summer. There are events throughout the country, usually accompanied with a bonfire. Tallinn will feature a large concert by 2 Quick Start and the legendary Anne Veski.

 

1 May Spring Day Pop-up Restaurant, Tallinn

A delicious three-course meal will be served by Estonia’s top chefs at the Open Air Museum in Tallinn. There will be multiple sittings for the lunch. The event is in conjunction with the 1 May celebrations throughout the country.

 

1–3 May Haapsalu Horror and Fantasy Film Festival (HÕFF), Haapsalu

The Haapsalu Horror Film Festival (HÕFF) celebrates horror films in general, with a special focus on Estonian films. The event itself, held in Haapsalu’s Cultural Centre, will feature live music, an auction, a parade of fantasy characters, and of course: horror films!

 

3 May Steve Hackett (Genesis) Live in Concert, Tallinn

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic “The Lamb Dies Down on Broadway” album by rock legends Genesis, their own guitarist will perform live at Alexela Concert Hall, featuring several of the tracks from this album.

 

3 May Happy Big Band Weekend 2025, Tallinn, Tartu

Celebrating big band music, this year’s festival will feature artists from Estonia, Finland, Latvia, and Lithuania in multiple concerts in Tallinn and Tartu. The event kicks off at the Estonian National Museum (ERM) in Tartu.
