Elektrum has opened the largest electric car charging station in Estonia at the T1 Shopping Centre in Tallinn. With 34 charging points available, it is designed to support both everyday drivers and those in need of fast recharges. The charging station includes 26 standard 22 kW chargers, two 100 kW fast chargers, and two 300 kW ultra-fast chargers. This makes it the second-largest in the Baltics.
“The T1 Centre has nearly 1000 parking spaces, which gave us enough space to build the largest charging station in Estonia,” said Agnes Makk, Chairwoman of Elektrum Eesti. “The new generation fast chargers installed at the T1 charging station and across Estonia will make charging particularly fast and convenient, and will boost the growth of the electric car user base. This is a significant step towards a greener future,” Makk added, thanking everyone who has helped make the project a reality.
The station is open to the public with a 30 per cent discount until the end of March. According to Andrus Liivand, a board member of Elektrum Eesti, as Estonia moves toward carbon neutrality, the expansion of a reliable charging network is crucial for future growth in electric car use.
This initiative supports both national and EU goals for greener transport.
