Lordi will perform at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds

The Tallinn Song Festival Grounds will become the centre of events on Saturday, January 18, as the city kicks off its year as European Capital of Sport with a grand opening ceremony. The event begins at 5 pm, featuring a stunning fire dance performance by the Kelfirius Fire Theatre. Estonia’s most renowned female drummer, Hele-Riin Uib-Pachel, will also take to the stage.

The evening’s highlight, however, will be a performance by 2006 Eurovision winners, the Finnish heavy metal band Lordi, who will perform at 5.30 pm. Known for their theatrical shows, monstrous costumes, and catchy heavy metal tunes, Lordi are expected to deliver an electrifying performance, warming the crowd even on a chilly January evening.

This year, Tallinn will celebrate its title as the European Capital of Sport by offering a diverse range of sports and fitness events throughout the year. The aim is to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage everyone to get more active. More information and the full programme can be found on the Capital of Sport website.
