From today, December 3 to January 5, the popular annual Gingerbread Mania exhibition will take place at the Design and Architecture Gallery in Tallinn. The event showcases intricate creations crafted entirely from gingerbread by over 100 Estonian artists, including architects, ceramicists, graphic designers, metal artists, and many more.
Began in 2006, the exhibition has become a popular part of Tallinn’s Christmas season. Each year features a new theme and original music composed by Estonian artists. This year’s theme is fairytales.
For those inspired to create their own gingerbread art, workshops are available on-site. Led by participating artists, these sessions teach baking and decorating techniques suitable for individuals, families, and groups. Prices range from 12 to 25 euros, and the workshops last one and a half hours.
The exhibition is open daily from 11 am to 6 pm, with exceptions on select holidays. Tickets cost 4.50 euros for adults and students, while children under six enter for free.
