Two Bridges Race 2024: Family Fun and 10km Challenge

The Two Bridges Race, a popular annual event in Pärnu’s sports calendar, is set to attract thousands of running enthusiasts to the city this weekend. Established by Olympic medalist Jüri Jaanson in 2001, the event is designed to include participants of all ages and athletic abilities. With races for children, grownups and wheelchair users over varying distances.

Family-Friendly Activities

Kicking off on Saturday, the event will feature a variety of activities suitable for the entire family. Highlights include children’s races, a wheelchair race, and the Pärnu Evening Race, a 3 km run open to everyone. This year’s event will also showcase local sports clubs, hobby schools, and companies, providing opportunities for visitors and runners alike to take part in fun activities and learn about various sports.

Competitive Racing

Sunday’s agenda includes the main 10 km race and walking event, which adheres to international standards and is certified. Runners will get to enjoy a scenic route along the picturesque banks of the Pärnu River. This race is part of the Estonian City Runs series and is the second event in the triple-event series organised by the Pärnu Two Bridges Sports Club.

Virtual Participation

For those unable to attend in person, a virtual run option is available from August 15 to September 15. Participants can complete the distance at their convenience, choosing their preferred time, location, and method.
