The Biggest Blues Festival in the Baltics to Celebrate its 30th Edition

Augustibluus, the largest blues festival in the Baltics, will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. The inaugural festival in 1994 featured just six local bands, but it has since evolved into an internationally renowned music event.

Held in Haapsalu, a picturesque seaside town located 99 kilometres west of Tallinn. Haapsalu is renowned for its spas, the historic Haapsalu Bishop’s Castle, its beautiful beaches, and the charming wooden homes in the city centre. It is a popular summer destination for both locals and tourists.

The main stage of Augustibluus is set up in the atmospheric courtyard of the mediaeval episcopal castle. Music lovers can also enjoy performances throughout the town’s streets, cafés, and clubs.

The festival will open on August 1 at 6 pm at the Haapsalu Cultural Centre. The opening ceremony will feature a diverse lineup, including Estonian entertainers, Italian singer Paul Venturi, French band The Yellbows, and Estonian band T-40 & Carlos Ukareda.

This year’s festival will showcase a variety of acts, including Latvian band The Swamp Shakers, Italian band I Shot a Man, American band Henry Herbert, German-French duo Mathis Haug & Benoit Nogaret, and Estonian performers Emma Johanna Lepasoo & Grigori Rõžuk, among others.

Festival passes are available for 75 euros until July 31, 80 euros from August onwards, and 85 euros if purchased at festival booths.

For more information about the festival, visit the official Augustibluus festival website.
