World-famous cellist HAUSER to perform in Tartu

Tartu, the European Capital of Culture in 2024, is set to host the renowned cellist Stjepan Hauser on Tuesday, July 9. As part of his solo tour, “Rebel with a Cello,” HAUSER will perform a blend of popular music and beloved classical pieces at the Tartu Song Festival Grounds.

HAUSER’s performance promises to be a captivating experience, featuring not only his exceptional cello playing but also the accompaniment of his band. The programme includes hits such as “Beach Party” and the soulful “Alone Together.”

Kuldar Leis, director of Tartu 2024, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “The European Capital of Culture year will once again bring Tartu’s Song Festival Grounds to life with big concerts, proving that the region is attracting world-class artists. HAUSER offers a wide musical spectrum and invites classical music lovers as well as pop and rock fans to listen.”

HAUSER has graced major stages worldwide, bridging the gap between classical and popular music. His unique renditions on the cello have won over diverse audiences, from classical music halls to pop festival arenas. His social media presence is equally impressive, boasting millions of followers on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.

The Croatian cellist’s collaborations include high-profile artists such as Andrea Bocelli, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. During the 2020 pandemic, HAUSER gained global recognition with his YouTube series “Alone Together,” further expanding his international fan base. With billions of streams and views, HAUSER has established himself as a musical phenomenon.
