Bryan Adams to perform in Tartu this Sunday

This Sunday, July 7, the legendary singer-songwriter Bryan Adams will perform his timeless rock hits in Tartu as part of the “So Happy It Hurts Tour.”

Canadian-born Bryan Adams, now 64, has left an indelible mark on the music history with iconic tracks like “Please Forgive Me” (1993) and “Everything I Do (I Do It For You)” (1991). With 17 studio albums and multiple Grammy awards to his name, Adams’ illustrious career spans over four decades.

Adams, who taught himself to play the guitar at a young age, rocketed to stardom in the 1980s. At just 15, he became Nick Gilder’s replacement in the band Sweeney Todd. By 20, he released his self-titled debut album, marking the true beginning of his global fame. His 1983 album “Cuts Like a Knife,” featuring the hit single “Straight From the Heart,” catapulted him to fame across North America.

His follow-up album, “Reckless,” released in 1984, topped charts in both Canada and the US, becoming the first album by a Canadian artist to achieve platinum status in Canada. It produced six chart-topping singles, including “Run to You” and “Summer of ’69.” The powerful ballad “Heaven,” also from this album, became a major hit in the US.

Adams continued to dominate the charts with the release of “Everything I Do (I Do It For You)” in 1991, a global sensation that reached the top in 19 countries and stayed at number one in the UK for 16 consecutive weeks. This track, part of the album “Waking Up the Neighbours,” sold 15 million copies worldwide, with the album itself reaching 16 million.
