Tattoo and lifestyle festival this weekend in Tartu

The “Cry Me a River” Tattoo and Lifestyle Festival will take place at Tartu Harbour Theatre this weekend, May 24-26. The 3-day event, which is part of Tartu’s European Capital of Culture 2024 additional programme, promises a dynamic fusion of tattooing, workshops, competitions, and entertainment on the picturesque banks of the Emajõgi river.

The festival celebrates the evolution of tattooing as a profound form of personal expression, showcasing the talents of seasoned artists and emerging stars alike. Visitors can witness masterpieces come to life as tattoo artists demonstrate their skills and compete in various competition categories, from traditional to avant-garde styles.

Each day offers a diverse lineup of activities for enthusiasts of all tastes and interests. From sticker-making and snake drawing workshops to animation and screenprinting.

Friday and Saturday will end with an afterparty at Kivi Baar and the festival will conclude with an awards ceremony on Sunday at 2 pm.

You can learn more about the festival and how to get tickets on the event’s official website.
