The Kissing Tartu project, which will take this Saturday (May 18), promises to be a historic occasion that challenges the stereotype of reserved Estonians. The project includes an educational program, audio etudes, and a concert culminating in a grand collective kiss.
The concert in Tartu Town Hall Square will feature beloved Eurovision songs from Estonia and Europe, narrating the story of Tartu, Estonia, and Europe. The event also marks the 30th anniversary of Estonia’s participation in Eurovision. Audiences can expect visually stunning performances with unexpected musical collaborations, including appearances by Conchita Wurst from Austria and Victor Crone from Sweden.
The educational program “First Kiss” aims to broaden young people’s horizons, raising awareness about sexual health and safety. Additionally, the audio etudes offer a glimpse into the love stories of prominent cultural figures from Tartu’s past, based on memories, letters, and diaries.
If you want to learn more about the event, read more on their official website.
