An exhibition about wedding fashion has opened in Pärnumaa

A wedding dress exhibition entitled “Yes, dear” has opened at the Seljametsa Museum in Pärnumaa. The exhibition features a total of 19 wedding dresses, 2 men’s suits, as well as countless accessories. All of which tell the story of Estonian wedding fashion and culture over the past 60 years.

All of the items in the exhibition, which have been generously donated by locals, showcase wedding fashion throughout the last 60 years and provide a look into Estonian wedding culture and how this has changed in recent decades.

The oldest wedding dress on display dates from 1961 and the newest from just last year in 2023. In addition to wedding dresses, the exhibition also includes two men’s wedding suits as well as accessories, all of which are a window into someone’s special day as well as moment in time.

The “Yes, dear” exhibition at the Seljametsa Museum in Pärnumaa will remain on display until April 30.
