Could you run up and down the stairs of a 26-storey building twice?

This Saturday, January 6, will see stair running enthusiasts test themselves by ascending and descending the 26 floors of the  iconic Olympia Hotel in Tallinn. The event, which is part of the Estonian Stair Running Cup Series, is open to all age groups from children to veterans.

Do you think you could climb the 26 floors of the Olympia Hotel in Tallinn, run back down, and then do it all for a second time? Well, this is exactly what those competing in the third stage of the Estonian Stair Running Cup Series 2024 will be doing this Saturday afternoon.

The event will kick off at 12:30, with the fastest runners expected to run first. There will then be a children’s run at 1 pm over a reduced 15 floors, before a second round of adult runs at 1:30 over the full two runs of the 26 floors.

In total, there are three age categories, youth (born 2005 and after), adult (1984-2004), and veteran (1983- and older). Refreshments will also be offered at the finish, and the top three in each age class will be rewarded with prizes from the sponsors.

Registration for the event is available online at osport.ee or on the day of the event (cash only). Registration costs 10 euros. Entry to the children’s race is free of charge.
