Pärnu City Orchestra will celebrate its 30th birthday with a spectacular concert tonight

On November 29th at 7 pm, Pärnu Concert Hall will resonate with the enchanting melodies of a “Purple Wednesday” concert, celebrating the 30th anniversary season of Pärnu City Orchestra. The concert will feature solos from well-known Estonian singers Alika Milova and Ott Lepland.
The Pärnu City Orchestra, which is the only professional symphony orchestra in West Estonia, will be celebrating its 30th anniversary season this Wednesday evening.
The “Purple Wednesday” concert, a collaboration with Song of Estonia competition winner Alika Milova and renowned singer Ott Lepland, offers a unique blend of original pop compositions and beautifully adapted versions of popular songs in orchestral settings. The unique arrangements and carefully curated repertoire have been created by Andrus Rannaääre and conductor for the evening Riivo Jõgi.
Founded in 1994, the Pärnu City Orchestra has been a cornerstone of the local cultural scene. Beyond their classical roots, the orchestra actively nurtures young talent, providing a platform for aspiring musicians. Throughout their 30-year-long history, the orchestra has collaborated with prestigious festivals, international conductors, and soloists.
