Tartu’s Waldorf Gymnasium will open its doors to the public on Saturday, November 25, for the annual Kadrilaat. The traditional fair promises a wide range of activities, live performances, stalls, food, and surprises for all ages.
From jazz improvisations to a puppet show, the fair’s diverse programme will cater to people of all ages and interests. Visitors can enjoy a poetry competition, musical performances by Silver Sepp and 7th graders, and even a silent film programme, to name just three.
The fair, which takes place over three floors of the school, will also see a flea market, hot food (including waffles), an escape room, and even a special area for mums and the youngest visitors of all. Finnish children’s author and resident of Tartu, Mika Keränen will present his latest book too.
Beyond the entertainment, good food, and gifts on offer, the fair has a purpose. The proceed will go to the modernisation of the Tartu Waldorf Gymnasium.
Visitors to the fair are encouraged to come along in costume.
You can find out more about the event and full programme for the day on the school’s official website here (in Estonian).
