The first Saturday of September each year in Tallinn is marked by the “Sounds of the City Wall” event. Throughout the day different choirs, soloists, and bands will perform at various locations along the old town wall.
The event will begin at Viru Gate and from there tower to tower and gate to gate along the wall surrounding Tallinn’s medieval old town. At each venue along the wall different choirs, soloists, and bands will perform as the day progresses.
You will not only hear live music at the event. Choreography students will perform improvised dance pieces, and art students will be painting. There will also be experts who will share their knowledge on the history and construction of the city wall.
