Tallinn Restaurant Week starts today

Today, March 11, sees the beginning of the extremely popular Tallinn Restaurant Week. The restaurant week, which ends on March 17, will see nearly 80 restaurants in the city offer exceptionally priced set menus.

Tallinn Restaurant Week offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy Estonian food culture and get to know the latest trends in the restaurant industry. The week offers new taste experiences, and due to the cheap prices, the opportunity to visit several different restaurants and compare them.

Taste experiences are being offered in no less than 78 restaurants in Tallinn. During the week, more than 20,000 seats have been reserved, so that visitors can enjoy two-course lunches for up to 15 euros and three-course dinners for 25 euros.

The meals are offered as set menus, with the dishes that are part of the restaurants’ usual à la carte menu representing the essence of each restaurant in the best possible way.

Tallinn Restaurant Week was started more than ten years ago by two restaurateurs. They decided that it was time to present the high standard of Tallinn’s restaurants to a wider audience. The first restaurant week was organised when Tallinn was the European Capital of Culture in 2011. Restaurant Week, which started in New York, is now a popular event worldwide.

To see which restaurants are taking part in this year’s event, view the menus and reserve your seats, visit the official website here. It is worth bearing in mind that the special offer meals cannot be purchased directly from the restaurant and are only available if the reservation is made online at least one day in advance.
