The Rasmus to perform at Pirita Klooster on July 17

On July 17, the internationally famous Finnish rock band, The Rasmus, will perform at Pirita Klooster in Tallinn. The Rasmus, who have sold over 5 million albums worldwide, also represented Finland this year at the Eurovision Song Contest with their song ‘Jezebel’.

The Rasmus formed as high school students all the way back in 1994. However, despite domestic success in Finland, they did not reach international fame till the early 00’s with the release of their album “Dead Letters”, which included the hit ‘In the Shadows’, which reached the top 10 in many countries, including the UK.

To date, The Rasmus have released 9 studio albums, and are no strangers to Estonia, having performed in the country since the late 90’s.

The Rasmus found international recognition again earlier this year, representing  Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest with their song ‘Jezebel’. They finished in 21st place.

Their support act for the concert on July 17 will be the popular Estonian rock band Shanon.

On July 15, fellow Finnish band Nightwish will also perform at Pirita Klooster. Tickets for both concerts are still available to buy online at Piletilevi
