The exhibition The Black Line and a Million Hours by Ukrainian artist Ksenia Sulaeva opened at Victoria Olt Galerii on January 23. The display features her vibrant and expressive works, which will be on view untilMarch 8. Through her art, Sulaeva reflects on her personal growth as an artist and her dedication to her craft.
The exhibition highlights two key symbols: the black line and a million hours. According to the artist, the black line is central to her works, providing structure and tying the pieces together. “The black line is not just an outline, it’s a journey that I take with every painting,” Sulaeva explains. The title “Million Hours” refers to the time, dedication, and emotions invested in each piece. “Each painting is thoroughly worked through, carrying the thoughts, emotions, and stories that were important to me in creating the piece,” she says.
Her works combine painting and monumental art traditions, creating a distinctive visual language. The exhibition is open daily from 11:00 to 19:00, with free admission.
