Tommy Cash, Nublu and Bedwetters to perform at free Europe Day concert in Tallinn

On May 9 there will be a free concert at Freedom Square in Tallinn to mark Europe Day. Top Estonian acts including Tommy Cash, Nublu, Gameboy Tetris, and Bedwetters are set to perform.

Europe Day will be more special this year because Estonia is celebrating 20 years as a member of the European Union and NATO. “EU and NATO membership has given us certainty that we are never alone again,” shared Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

The celebrations at Freedom Square in Tallinn will start at 3 pm with the raising of European Union and NATO flags. This is also also when the Our Europe, Our NATO themed area will open. Here you will find many unique displays including from the embassies of European Union member states, the Police and Border Guard Board, Rescue Board, Defence League, and Defence Forces of Estonia. Police service dogs will also show off their skills, and it will be possible to get food and drinks at the SLAVA Ukraina café.

The first Europe Day concert, which is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was held back in 1998, with the concept being revived in 2022. This year, the headline act at the Europe Day concert is Estonian rap artist Tommy Cash, who is known for his bold visuals and sounds.  Other big names in Estonian music including Nublu, Gameboy Tetris and Bedwetters will also take to the stage in Freedom Square.

Tallinn will not be the only place where Europe Day events will be held. At the Town Hall Square in Narva, a Europe Day concert will feature performances from Smilers, Uku Suviste, and Alika. At the University of Tartu, a discussion on the impact of the European Union on Estonia will be organised by the Skytte Institute. And in Võru, a concert featuring Daniel Levi will take place. All of the Europe Day events, including the concert in Tallinn are free. More information about all of the events is available on the official Europe Day website here
