Today, May 6, from noon until 3 pm, Tallinn Botanic Garden will host its Spring Pearls theme day, which will include guided tours and workshops on picking and protecting plants.
During the theme day, experts will introduce you to the many colourful flowers and early perennials blooming in the botanical gardens.
Pille Hermann, the plant protection specialist at Tallinn Botanic Garden, will lead a guided tour, where she will introduce to those who are interested in gardening how to prepare herbal infusions and repellents.
Since spring is also the time for sowing seeds, Tiina Marjapuu, a gardener at the Tallinn Botanic Garden, will lead a seminar where she will share important tips on picking plants.
The tours and workshops require both pre-registration and an entrance ticket. You can register here.
Guided tours in Estonian and Russian start at noon from the ticket office. A workshop for children will start at 1 pm in the Palm House classroom, and the picking workshop starts at 2 pm in the Garden of Senses. The plant protection tour will take place at 1 pm.
Tallinn Botanic Garden is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm.
