Effortless Buffets

Effortless Buffets

For those travelling in a large group, a buffet restaurant is a great option. Here’s a look at some buffets to check out while in Tallinn.

Merineitsi restaurant in the Original Sokos Hotell Viru is known for its cabaret shows in winter. Restaurant manager and head chef Margus Tammpere, together with his team have put together a summer brunch that surely the whole family will enjoy. Everyone can make their own burger or taco. Ingredients include pulled pork, coleslaw, warm smoked fish, and prawns. On a hot day enjoy a refreshing bowl of beetroot gazpacho. There are also many different salads to try.

Of the hot foods, Merineitsi offers meatballs, chicken, and a daily fish special together with sides. There are three different desserts. Lunch is served from 13.00-16.00 until the end of August. €16 adults, children 6-12 are half price and younger children eat free.

Best Pizza Buffet is open daily from 11.00-21.00. Just like the name suggests, they have pizza, of which there are six to seven different kinds to choose from or you can order one to your liking. But pizza is not all they have, try soups, pastas, and about 20 different salad combinations, meatballs, chicken wings, chips, and spring rolls. All ingredients are fresh and local.

If you’re visiting with a large group, be sure to book a table in advance. Alcoholic drinks, like beer and wine are reasonably priced. €9.90 adults (weekday lunch €6.90), children 4-10 €5.90, and children 1-3 €3.90. You can buy soft serve ice cream as an extra for dessert. Drinks and pancakes are free.
