Moby in Concert

Moby, the popular American DJ, will have a concert on 6 August at Tartu’s Song Festival Grounds. After a touring break of over ten years, Moby is back playing what will likely be a “perfect set list”, including many of his greatest hits that many might not know are by him, but they will certainly recognise.

Born Richard Melville Hall in New York City, Moby originally started out in punk rock, then moved to the rave scene, which was prominent in his later youth. He eventually turned to DJing, blending electronic, contemporary pop, and blues. His songs have been featured in many films, including “The Beach”, several of the “Bourne” films, and one song was even the theme of “Tomorrow Never Dies”, the James Bond film with Pierce Brosnan.

Moby’s 1999 album “Play” was ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top 500 albums of all time. Moby has also produced and remixed songs with prominent artists such as Daft Punk, Public Enemy, David Bowie, the Beastie Boys, Ozzy Osbourne, and more. To date he has released 22 studio albums, with over 20 million copies sold worldwide. He has been nominated for and received prestigious awards such as Grammys, the Billboard Music Awards, MTV awards, Brit awards, and others.

The event page is located here, and tickets are available here.

Moby will have special guests Austra, from Canada, and Estonia’s very own Raul Ojamaa.
