BachFest Tallinn: Concert Series

The music of famed German composer Johann Sebastian Bach has been revered around the world for nearly three centuries. What better way to welcome the New Year than by attending a series of concerts celebrating his music? BachFest Tallinn offers you exactly this opportunity!

From 1 January until 6 January, there will be nightly concerts in Tallinn’s Dome Church and the House of the Blackheads. The first in the series of concerts, in the Dome Church, will feature conductor Jaan Ots and the Estonian Sinfonietta, as well as four singers. The following evening in the House of the Blackheads will feature Oksana Sinkova on the flute, and Johan Randvere on the piano.

The third concert in the series will be in the Dome Church, and is titled, “In Bach’s Footsteps”, featuring the lovely voice of Ka Bo Chan, and Aare-Paul Lattik on the organ. The fourth concert is “Through Glass” in the House of the Blackheads, with Thomas Bloch on the glass harmonica and the BachFest Consort.

On 5 January in the Dome Church once more, “Bach and Haas” will be performed by Bernhard Haas on the organ. The final concert in the BachFest Tallinn series will be in the House of the Blackheads on 6 January, titled “Magnificent!” This concert will feature François Lazarevich, the BachFest Consort, and other musicians.

Tickets are available here.
