Multicultural Night Bazaar at the Paavli Cultural Factory

At the end of November, the darkness gives way to a colourful, bazaar-like atmosphere with soft Christmas lights when the night bazaar opens at the Paavli Cultural Factory. The event takes place on 29 November from 18:00 until 22:00 and is free of charge.

The night bazaar offers Indian, Uzbek, Syrian, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Nepali street food, as well as handicrafts, music, and dance. It is a visually bold and immersive night market where traditions blend with futuristic aesthetics.

In addition to food and crafts, the event features workshops to explore different cultures, along with light and sound art that creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the Blade Runner movie or Tokyo nightlife. “We want to bring together local communities from different nationalities, and give them a platform to showcase their culture. At the same time, we offer the residents of Tallinn the chance to experience something completely different and unforgettable,” says Villem Varik.

The visual concept and design of the event are created by artist Viktoria Martjanova, whose style combines cyberpunk aesthetics with Asian ornamentation. Decorations, light installations, and projections transform the industrial space into a futuristic experience. The night bazaar follows principles of environmental awareness and accessibility: LED lighting is used, the event is promoted digitally instead of with printed materials, the space is wheelchair-accessible, and information is available in multiple languages.

More information about the event can be found here.
