The annual Paunvere Autumn Fair, held in the village of Palamuse, will take place this year on Saturday, 20 September. Visitors can shop for handicrafts and food while enjoying the rural charm of Jõgeva County. The fair also features live entertainment—Estonia’s most beloved and undoubtedly most famous singer, Anne Veski, will perform for the crowd.
The Paunvere Fair offers a wide range of goods, including food, plants, handicrafts, clothing, and art. Many artisans and farmers showcase and sell their own products, creating an authentic and vibrant atmosphere. Local food plays a central role, with traditional pastries, meat products, and other homemade delicacies available.
The fair programme also includes a barbecue competition, animal exhibitions, and activities for children. For those seeking adventure, scenic helicopter rides over Palamuse and the Vooremaa region are available.
In between shopping and enjoying the programme, visitors can explore local sights such as the Oskar Luts Parish School Museum, St Bartholomew’s Church, Palamuse Pharmacy, and the Palamuse Watermill. Just a couple of kilometres away on the shores of Lake Kuremaa is the cosy Udusoo Holiday Village, a perfect place to unwind after a day at the fair—whether by boating, enjoying the sauna, or taking a swim.
Advance tickets for the fair are available for €5, allowing entry without queueing. Tickets can be purchased here.
