Street Games come to Tartu

 

This weekend (September 27 to 29) you can take part in the Street Games Festival in Tartu. The event, which focuses on urban games, provides the opportunity for locals and visitors alike to work together to complete both physical and collaborative games.

Over the past two decades, street games have gained a dedicated following, and this festival will feature multiple innovative games created by international designers. With the theme “Inter Spaces”, the festival aims to create connections among people of different ages and backgrounds, making it an excellent opportunity for locals and visitors to interact with one another.

You can take part in variety of different games, some of which involve physical activity while others encourage collaboration and storytelling. Notable games include “Say It, See It” and “Climate Casino”, both designed to challenge and engage players in unique ways. Each game will be set against the backdrop of Tartu’s urban environment, inviting participants to discover both familiar and hidden areas of the city in new and exciting ways.

The festival will be centrally located, with activities beginning from the city centre at Keskpark and Küüni Street. As visitors navigate the festival, you will not only engage in the games themselves but also explore Tartu’s lively cafes and local attractions. The Street Game Festival is designed to be inclusive, welcoming participants of all ages and offering a unique experience for everyone involved.
