Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival invites young filmmakers

The Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) is inviting young filmmakers to apply for its international Discovery Campus programme, which will run during the festival, from November 18 to 22.

This programme, in collaboration with Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, offers a unique opportunity for emerging directors, screenwriters, film artists, composers, and other film professionals to engage in masterclasses, workshops, and lectures with esteemed mentors from the film and creative industries.

Discovery Campus includes five distinct segments: Music Meets Film for film composers, Black Room for film artists, Script Pool for screenwriters and directors, Frame Within a Frame for cinematographers, and Black Nights Stars focusing on the international careers of young actors.

Triin Tramberg, the programme’s coordinator, highlights the value of this year’s programme in bringing together numerous talents from the film and creative sectors. “Last year saw over 40 young professionals from around the world participating, forming lasting connections and potentially collaborating on future projects.” Further emphasizing the importance of international networking in the competitive film industry and encouraging young filmmakers to seize this opportunity.
