In Estonia, Women’s Day is celebrated by giving flowers and gifts to women. If you don’t see men in flower shops at other times of year, on the morning of Women’s Day there are long lines in front of florists. Many restaurants will also celebrate women on Friday, March 8, with special menus and live music.
In Tallinn, you can enjoy the evening at, for example, Kalaranna Resto, where in addition to a romantic dinner, live music will be provided by Italian singer Tomasso Primavera. The acoustic gig starts at 7 pm. The new restaurant Hoov Number 6 in Pelgulinn has created a special five-course dinner for the evening. The menu costs 50 euros and includes a welcome drink.
At the beautiful Villa Ammende in Pärnu, you can buy a dinner and concert package for 125 euros. Dinner includes a three-course dinner. The restaurant will also have a representative of the Pommery champagne house, who will talk about the fascinating world of champagnes and Pommery’s world-famous champagnes. The concert by Luis Izzo features Latin songs suitable for a romantic evening.
Women’s Day can also be enjoyed by taking a sauna and relaxing in the pool. There are spas all around Estonia for all tastes. If you like an intimate and peaceful atmosphere, try for example Telegraaf Spa. In the fairly new Ring Spa you can find a versatile sauna world. The old spa town of Narva-Jõesuu in eastern Estonia also has high-class spa hotels.
In addition to spas and good food, Estonia is known for its manor houses, where you can spend the Women’s Day weekend like the lady of the manor.
You can reserve a table at some of the restaurants mentioned here.
