Tallinn Public Transport will run a Sunday schedule over Christmas

All Tallinn public transport (busses, trams, and trolleybusses), will operate on a Sunday schedule over the three days of Christmas, December 24, 25, and 26. There will even be festively decorated vehicles on some routes.

Starting on Sunday, December 24, all trams, busses, and trolleybusses operating in Tallinn will begin running on a Sunday schedule. This Sunday schedule will continue on both December 25 and 26.

According to Tallinn Transport’s own website, more than 1000 of their employees will be working over the Christmas period to ensure we all get to our families and friends without needing to use a car.

As with tradition, on December 24 and 25, there will be a specially decorated Christmas bus, tram, and trolleybus. These festive vehicles will be adorned with handmade decorations made out of recyclable materials. Each of the vehicles will also be decorated with their own theme, and Christmas music will be playing on board.

“Christmas is a time for good deeds, joy, and spending time with the whole family. That is why we aim to bring more joy to our clients’ experience during this special time by introducing Christmas vehicles on the transport lines throughout the holidays. Santa Clauses will greet passengers on the Christmas bus, tram and trolleybus. They will listen to the poems and Christmas wishes of the passengers and distribute sweets,” explained Kaido Padar, a board member of Tallinn City Transport.

Full schedules for all bus, tram and trolleybus lines can be found on the Tallinn City Transport website.
