A week of music by Mozart in a palace

For five nights in a row this week (December 18-22), renowned musicians of classical music will perform at Kadriorg Palace in Tallinn as part of the Mozart III concert series. The harmonies and beauty of Mozart’s music are ageless and perfect for Christmas, as is the winter landscape of Kadriorg park.

In the opening concert, the duo of Dina Yoffe and Micheal Vaima will perform Mozart’s works for piano and violin. On Tuesday, it’s piano music performed by award-winning pianist Marianna Prjevalskaja. On Wednesday, the coloratura soprano Pirjo Jonas will conquer the hearts of the listeners, she will be accompanied by one of Estonia’s most talented pianists, Piia Paemurru.

On Thursday, it’s the turn of Irina Zahharenkova, a world- and Estonian-known pianist. The Mozart week ends with the wonderful Estonian string quartet Camerata Musica. Sigrid Kuulmann (violin), Fred Heinoja (violin), Kaarel Veenre (viola) and Andreas Lend (cello) play in the quartet. This time the quartet will play pieces by Mozart together with pianist Kirill Lissijenko.

Tickets for the concerts can be bought at Piletilevi
