This year’s IRONMAN Tallinn will be held this Saturday and Sunday (August 5 and 6). In the main race, the athletes will compete over a 3.9km swim, 180.2km bike ride, before finishing with a 42.2km run. The routes of the various races will run along Tallinn’s versatile urban terrain and nearby countryside.
Harku Lake will offer participants a great environment to swim, before beautiful field and forest landscapes open up on the cycling routes outside Tallinn. The final running part will take place along a spectator-friendly route between Pelguranna and the Estonian Open Air Museum.
As a result, there will be no runners in the Old Town and city center as in previous years, so getting around by car and public transport in the central city will be normal. However, there are a number of road closures on both the cycling and running routes at certain times. The event routes can be found on the official IRONMAN website here.
The program of the IRONMAN triathlon festivals also includes the European Championship of IRONMAN 70.3 (a half IRONMAN), an IRONKIDS race, and the “Move for Ukrainian Triathletes” charity run.
