Estonian farms will be open to visitors on July 23–24.

The eighth Estonian-wide “Open Farm Day” is this year on July 23 and 24. More than 300 farms and rural businesses will open their doors and welcome visitors who will get to know all about rural life. There is something for everyone in the wide range, from the world of foods to crafts and raising domestic animals.

This year, 61 new premises and companies are among the participants of “Open Farm Day”. Most of the newcomers are located in central Estonia, in the counties of Järva, Rapla and Jõgeva.

Among the new entrants are many so-called lifestyle facilities, which show with their activities how nice it is to live in the countryside and what you can do there. The participants of the event are united by versatility and surprise. Last year, more than 234,000 friends of the countryside visited the events at 299 farms.

The most important day of the event is Sunday, but most facilities are open on both Saturday and Sunday. The “Open Farm Day” is organized by the Estonian Ministry of Agriculture and a number of other rural actors.
